Local & Indigenous Supplier Platform

Creating Value for Host Communities

What is the Supplier Platform?

The local and Indigenous businesses that support Newmont’s Canadian operations are vital to our success. In 2022, Newmont conducted a Listening Exercise with existing and prospective suppliers across the country to understand how we could strengthen our relationships and empower them for success.

In response to what we heard during the Listening Exercise, the Local & Indigenous Supplier Platform has been created. We hope that this platform will support the growth of our local and Indigenous suppliers and make it easier to work with Newmont’s Canadian operations.

If you are a current supplier, considering becoming a supplier, or help to facilitate opportunities for businesses in your community then this platform is for you!

By registering as a supplier you will be able to:

  • See a real-time list of available opportunities

  • Receive supplier-specific Newmont news

  • See upcoming supplier workshops and events

  • Access a directory of government funding programs

    for Indigenous-owned and small businesses.

  • And more!

At Newmont, we know that the local and Indigenous businesses that support our operations are a key ingredient in our success. Working with local and Indigenous vendors and suppliers allows us to share the economic benefits generated by a mine and fulfill our purpose of creating value and improving lives through sustainable and responsible mining.
— Bernard Wessels, Senior Regional Vice President of North American Operations
